masquerade of dusky half-light // warms worn faces and soothes the day’s frustration // the hum is broken with a reedy note
exploring, dividing or reforming / new voices shoring up // foundations laid bare ///
a corpus forms and greets // each listener in turn // agreeable and clean, its signature conforming // to the norms AGREEDTO
The theme repeats // each pass increasing // seizing, rising, heating // a completion nearing // when a key change wrings the tonic free
but the return of torrid urgency // of burning flesh and infernal thoughts // the only certainty, a carnal yearning for unlearned grace ////
